Stopped here to break the journey to Cornwall.Great, very friendly and helpful host.Basic but comfortable room. Nice to have two comfortable chairs to watch TV. Very good bed.Decent breakfast options.All in all, happy with our short stay.

we were attending a wedding round the corner at Clevedon Hall so it was very convenient. Thankfully David was able to let us have the keys and leave the car in the carpark early because the wedding was at 12, this meant we didn't need to come back and check in. So we arrived around midnight and had a very comfy night's sleep and then a delicious breakfast in the privacy of our room

We had a lovely stay at Cavell House, the room was a good size and the beds were so comfy. Breakfast was good with all that we had requested the night before. The hosts, David especially, was just amazing!! Could not do enough for us and went out of his way to provide a lovely gluten free breakfast for my sister. We had a great time and would definitely return.

We had a friendly welcome, the room was good, as was breakfast brought to our room.Our hosts were attentive and asked if there was anything else we needed.The only improvement we would mention is that the reception area could do with a facelift and the garden is very overgrown - it would be nice to sit out there if the weather's fine.On the whole though, perfectly acceptable and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay, Cavell House is excellently positioned close to the sea front. We found the room clean and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was first class and our hosts were very friendly and more than happy to help with any query. I would recommend staying here, we will be back. Thank you.

Huge room in a traditional building with loads of history with lovely, helpful owners. 10 minutes walk from Clevedon Hall if you are attending an event there. Also a very short walk from the pier, lido and many restaurants. The family room was actually two linked rooms which was a nice surprise as it was easily big enough for teenagers and adults.

Our stay was very comfortable. Cavell House is conveniently placed for good restaurants and bars and a short walk to the seafront. Our room was clean and comfortable and our hosts were warm and friendly and very helpful. A good experience.

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a tour of North Somerset and North Devon.We had a very pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast served in our room was delicious, the house is in very easy reach of everything that Clevedon has to offer and the host was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

Very pleasent people. Only negative was being woken up at 4.30am by the post office depot next door banging and slamming their van doors.

We stayed at Cavell House for a week when we emigrated back from New Zealand. We found the accomodation safe and comfortable. The location is excellent within easy walking distance of the water front and nice shops and restaurants on Hill Road. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and did everything in their powers to make our stay comfortable. My partner is dairy and gluten free and they found dairy free butter and gluten free bread for her. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for everything.

We loved our stay, it was so convenient and accessible for our Waverley Paddle Steamer excursion. Comfy bed and breakfast served in our room, which was a treat! Would definitely recommend this accommodation,

Mum and I have throughly enjoyed our stay at Cavell House Bed and Breakfast. We received very warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The highlight for us was breakfast in bed every morning!

We used to stay at Walton Park Hotel and them we decided to try somewhere new.we have found Cavell House and we would not stay in any others hotels. The owners, David and Abby are very friendly and helpful. We always always to come ba k there

It would be nice to have the choice between a real English breakfast and a continental one. There is only a -very good - continental one.

We enjoyed our stay at Cavell House B&B. Mike was very welcoming and helpful on arrival, despite computer issues. Our room was comfortable and clean, the only drawback was not having a proper window in the room. I appreciate that putting en-suites in an old house is difficult,but having the only windows in the bathroom was quite strange! Breakfast, served in our room was good, Mike even found decaff tea for me. Location is good for wandering around Clevedon.

We enjoyed our stay very much - friendly hospitality, nicely decorated and comfortable bedroom, very good bathroom, and breakfast was excellent. The Owner was away but his Deputy couldnt have been more helpful despite having a few 'curveballs' to deal with! We were cycling from Cheriton to Clevedon - David was an excellent host and gave us a lovely cheery welcome and went out of his way to ensure our bikes were safe and we had a nice early breakfast for our departure.David and his partner are working flat out to enhance the property… all the best to you .

Only a 1 night stop off but so glad we did as David the owner greeted us like old friends and nothing was too much trouble. We had a very relaxing night in our very clean room with comfy beds watching TV with cheese and wine. Our continental breakfast was delivered to our room which was a first for me and it was delicious. A very pleasant stay and great value for money in a family home that was once an orphanage. We stayed for three nights in this B&B. David and Abigail made us feel at home. The room was spacious and very clean: we booked for two and were staying in the large family room. The breakfast was simple but very tasteful and was served in the room. We can certainly recommend this B&B, at walking distance from the water and the pier

I love the town very much. There is a seawater swimming pool free of charge. Excellent!

I took some time for myself to visit Clevedon (a lovely sea side town, where I used to live as a youngster) I wished to stay over and take and reminisce. The Cavell house fitted the bill perfectly. Excellent hosts, made me feel very welcome 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a lovely old house but it does need a bit of TLC and updating.My ensuite bathroom was in a sort of shed in the bedroom - presumably done so they didn't ruin the beautiful cornicing - a bit odd but it was clean and the water was hot.I had a huge room and the bed was comfy.I liked having breakfast served to my room and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable, nice staff, clean rooms but a bit basic for the price. Obvious DIY updates occurring. No full breakfast. But it sufficed.

Our hosts David and Abby are lovely people helpful and jolly. Never had breakfast in our bedroom before but if it was as good as theirs I would have it again.Only there three days but enjoyed it.

Very spacious, clean (super clean!), friendly hosts. We travelled with a toddler (16months) and the room was very baby safe(round edges at furniture, bathroom handle quite high, no sharp dangers at her level). We didn't know what a continental breakfast was, so we expected an english breakfast, but it was absolutely lovely, with plenty of choices(very creamy and delicious porridge). Overall a good experience with absolutely no complaints!

The hotel is in a beautiful old property with some history, the decor is completely in keeping with the age of the property and gives it atmosphere, it was spotlessly clean, we had the king-size room with a lovely sitting area and yes the added on ensuit is a little quirky, but at least you have it!!Our daughter, son in law and small grandson had a 5 bed family room. The lovely couple that run this are friendly, welcoming andhelpful and we loved having our large, beautifully presented continental breakfast delivered to our room at the time we specified. A short walk from the sea, and parking make this a lovely place to stay if you can appreciate what they are trying to do, if you want ultra modern decor and furniture this place is not for you,try something more commercial! 😂 Thanks for a lovely stay

The rooms were nice and clean, and spacious, we got recommended a few places by the owners, although it’s advisable to book in advance to other restaurants we got advised. My Dad and I went to a pub call Salt House Inn they were friendly, and food was a good size and really nice. Breakfast is served in your room.

Our hosts were extremely helpful in arranging somewhere safe to store our bicycles overnight and even helped out with finding a hose and cleaning materials so we could be ready for our next long day on our way to John O’Groats. The family room was huge, loads of space, huge TVs, great shower and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely and quiet so I had excellent sleep. The breakfast list of options was extensive and we really appreciated the ability to eat a large meal before a long day on the bikes. The location is excellent, close to the seafront and Hill Road shops. Within walking distance of the town centre. We didn’t manage to see the hosts before we disappeared in the morning but thank you again for all your help. I will recommend you to friends looking for somewhere to stay in Clevedon.

My husband and I stayed at Cavell House with our daughter, son-in-law and baby granddaughter. We had a lovely welcome and were made to feel at home immediately. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We were close to the lovely prom, pier and bespoke shops. Breakfast in our rooms was a big bonus. We'll be back.

I had an excellent stay at Cavell House B&B! The owners - Abby & David - were super friendly and very accommodating. They let me customise my breakfast each morning, even going out of their way to cater to some specific requests. The room was spacious, clean, and well furnished. The location of the B&B was also ideal - conveniently located in the centre of town, less than 5min walk from the seafront or main shopping street. 5/5 stars - would absolutely recommend!

David and his partner did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Very close to the seaside where the atmosphere is vacation like, very relaxing.

Very enjoyable stay. Room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was continental style with order what you wanted sheet and time you required it. Breakfast was delivered to the room on trays. Plenty of ceral, jug of milk, jug of orange juice, large pot of tea and coffee. Hosts very welcoming and accommodating.

We had originally decided to stay at a different hotel with some friends. As this was full we stayed at Cavell House and I am glad that we made the change.This was comfortable and clean accommodation with an excellent breakfast.

The host went out of his way to assist me when a train strike stymied my travel plans. He got me to Salisbury in good time to seethe cathedral which was superb. Thank you David!

My brother and I stayed one night in Room 1, as part of our 2 week challenge to cycle from LEJOG. Overall we we’re very pleased with our stay.The owner (David?) was particularly helpful, in fact couldn’t do enough for us, especially when it came to cleaning our bikes and getting them ready for the next stage. Ok the hotel may need some money spent on it but value for money wise we haveno complaints.

Double ensuite room was large size with comfy bed and good shower. Room decor was tired / needs attention, but everything was clean. Host David was very friendly. Generous continental breakfast was delivered to room which was fine. Easy to park and convenient location. Overall, would be happy to stay again in future.

Brilliant situated in Clevedon a stones throw from the sea front. Elegant detached property with many period features throughout.Rooms are large mainly self contained with high ceilings tastefully decorated. Parking front of house. Breakfast continental style with coffee/ tea and lots of food items for you to choose. Plentiful and something for every dietary need served directly to your room.

My spouse and daughter shared a family unit with en suite shower and bathroom, comfortably located on the first floor up one lovely flight of stairs. Very clean and our hosts assured we had seating and folding tables for a continental breakfast in our room each morning at 8am [earliest option]. Our window overlooked the garden with fruit trees bearing figs and apples and a fish pond. The parking area was roomy enough to accommodate all the guest vehicles easily.Wallace GoodVermont USA

Great location. Friendly hosts, good size room, clean, tea, coffee etc. in room well supplied. There wasn't a table to eat breakfast in the room but 2 were promptly brought on request. Also, in the shower there was nowhere to put soap or shampoo so a caddy or shelf is needed.Would stay again if in area.

Stayed here with my husband and our 3 year old daughter to attend a nearby wedding. We were welcomed and attended through throughout our stay with a smile and friendly atmosphere. Room was great.Having an interconnecting room was really useful to help settle our daughter and the area was beautiful for a morning stroll down to the sea front. Would use again if in the area.

Glad we followed our son's recommendation to stay overnight here. The room was extremely spacious and the owner was incredibly helpful. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast - served in our room - including excellent filter coffee.

We had room 11,very clean and spacious with a new bathroom. Would also be ideal for a family as there was the option of inter connecting rooms.Continental breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee and croissants suited us perfectly.A small folding table in the room would be a great addition.

My wife and I stayed for one night on our way back home to Cornwall,The hosts were super friendly, our room was huge and spotlessly clean with everything we needed, it was very comfortable and airy.Breakfast in our room was plentiful and very nice.The property is close to the beach and town centre but in a very quiet area.Will definitely stay again if we are around there.Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay, really good sized rooms, great service. They made extra effort with our breakfast to accommodate our requests. Location is lovely.

Great location with car park- close to everything yet very quiet and peaceful at night.As a family of four (two infants) we were very comfortable with a huge room, comfy clean beds and a great shower - and two large flat screen TV's.Breakfast was brought to our room at the time we requested- with a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, toast and yogurt.Brilliant place to stay - we enjoyed the attractions and the beautiful old pier that is on the doorstep.Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit to Cavell House and without doubt if in the area again would book accommodation with them.They were extremely friendly and very helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast more than adequate. Unfortunately, our stay was for only 3 nights but would be more than happy to have a much longer stay there.Have no hesitation in recommending Cavell House.

This guesthouse is in a lovely old converted house and I'm sure that to maintain it costs a fortune. I stayed in the family attick room. To be honest it was very tired but it was clean. A little fridge would have been good, especially if you were there with kids. Maybe other rooms have. Breakfast delivered to the room was on time. To conclude, great service but could do with a refurb

We were given a very warm cheerful welcome by David. He was happy to give us any information about Clevedon and places to eat out at, we chose The Moon and Sixpence and weren't disappointed.Our room was large well huge in fact, the bed very comfy including the pillows, the shower was very good and the reclining sofa in front of the tv was just what we needed after our journey.Breakfast was brought to our room on a tray groaning with the items we had chosen the night before from a long list.We will certainly stay at Cavell House if we go to Clevedon again.

Very enjoyable stay at Cavell House, Clevedon. Warm welcome on arrival and easy check in by David and Abigail. As explained via telephone rooms were at the top of the house, rather steep stairs. Large bedroom with comfortable King size bed with TV and free Wi fi. Toilet and shower with soft towels and toiletries. Second room with single bed and TV again very comfortable .Breakfasts request with a comprehensive list of Continental breakfast. This was delivered with our request daily to our door. Breakfast had fresh fruit with choices of yogurts and cereals, yea or coffee also delivered freshly made. There is also tea/coffee etc with kettle supplied and bottles of water. Hair dryer. First morning a little noisy due to main Post office opposite our room.Garden is very pretty with seats available to sit outside and large Koy carp also in pool to look at.The house is full of history and is a lovely big house and free parking at property. Distance from promenade to sea approx 5 minutes walk. This delightful house still in process of some declaration in dining area which due to current COVID restrictions isn’t open to Guests. Abigail and David our hosts were friendly, approachable and informative of local places of interest. We look forward to a future visit and many thanks to you both for making our stay a pleasant one.

Good, except for the saniflow

Set in a quiet an elegant area, Cavell House offers a pleasant place to stay. Our room was spacious, clean, with a view overlooking pretty gardens. The owners were friendly and helpful, and had given careful thought to Covid pandemic adaptations. Breakfast was tasty and ample and they made sure our dietary requirements were catered for.

David and his wife where helpful, room was clean, downside was, once you got through the main door there was another door that slammed behind you and because we wasn't used to it we was told off by an elderly gentleman that was possibly David's grandad? My opinion is the door should of been dealt with in the first place

Because of Covid-19 it wasn't quite the same as when we stayed there twice before, mainly that there was no breakfast room and this time breakfast was in a box.Not what we like.But apart from that, everything else was as usual - the room, the bed, the facilities in the room.We will stay there again the next time we go to Cleveden.Georgina Hilton (Mrs)

The ground floor king suite was very comfortable. The decor might not be modern but we had a very good nights Sleep on tempur pillow and mattress. The room and outside is a bit tired and dated but the owners obviously work hard and provide a good service. With a bit of a cash injection it could be updated but times mean that's not possible. So please stay here. It will give you a very pleasant stay as it did us. We loved the sofa area to watch tv whilst eating our breakfast box goodies in the morning. It has a late 11am checkout so was no rush. Clevedon has lots to offer for a short break with cafe's, wine bars, pubs, shops, history, arts, culture and great walks. Give this b&b a go as we had a lovely time here. Social distancing applied here. Good car park too.

I stayed for one night.I had to attend a Morning Funeral at Clevedon.Cosy, warm, very friendly place.Locally I discovered it is held in high regard by the Locals and not just by us from a great distance who need an overnight stay.This is always a tremendously good sign....to see it is a desired by the “natives” when they have Visitors themselves.

I recently stayed at cavill house for 4 week’s whilst working away, the staff were friendly and helpful, I stayed in two different rooms during my stay both were very clean and tidy, the rooms were well stocked with tea coffee and biscuits which were replenished every day. Breakfast was of a good standard and Fresh every day. The rooms have large hd t.v.’s which are connected to bbc I player and the WiFi in the building is fantastic! All in all a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend.

As always very satisfactory and convenient accomodation for my reqirements. I'll be returning next year.

A great, friendly bunch that run the B&B. Good price, good location close to the pier. I paid extra for the cooked breakfast, but it was worth it. I'd recommend a stay.

This accommodation was very clean, comfortable bed and a friendly manager. Excellent tea/coffee facilities and a garden to sit in while I worked. Nothing to complain about for the price and thanks for an enjoyable stay.

When we arrived, the owner informed us that we'd been upgraded to a bigger, family room which overlooked the garden and fabulous fish pond. There were HUGE carp etc which we spent ages just watching from our window. We were free to access the garden so also got a close up view. The hotel was just a few minutes walk to the sea front, which had magnificent sunsets over the pier. This was great as parking is an issue in Clevedon. There was a vast choice of cereals, lots of fruit and yoghurts for breakfast, and nothing was too much trouble. The host, David, was really thoughtful, polite and friendly.Our only gripe was that no one was manning the reception desk for check out. We had to ring a bell and then waited a long time for someone to attend to us.But this was only a small inconvenience. We won't hesitate to stay here again next time we're in the area.

We received a very warm welcome from David, plusa recommendation of somewhere to eat, whichwas very good indeed. a lot of decorating going on which shows a commitment to keeping Cavell House up to a good standard, very comfortable room and bed, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast (serve yourself continental) was a bit hit and miss, good selection of cereals but otherwise a bit unexciting. Abi was around and was very nice

My only recommendation is to offer a cooked breakfast. However, if I am working at Clevedon School again, I will definitely stay again.

Stayed one night. Large, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast of cereal, toast, croissant and fresh coffee, although maybe the option of a bacon sandwich would be nice. Decent location, no problem parking, value for money.Breakfast should start earlier for workers, 8.30 is a little late.I would ideally mark it 3.5/5. Would I stay again, possibly if i had the same room again.

We had a really nice short stay at this B&B. Clean, comfortable room, with a good breakfast, at a reasonable price. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is convenient for Clevedon town, seafront, and Clevedon Hall.

Avocado bathroom? No problem. The shower was as powerful as any other I've tried. The owners were friendly, helpful and attentive. And that's what counts the most.

We stayed for just one night after a day trip from Clevedon on the Waverley paddle steamer. When I called to make the booking, the gentleman I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. When I explained that we weren't due to arrive back until 2200 he said it was fine and put our check in time as 2230. The house is a beautiful old building which sadly needs a lot of money spent on it. That said, the beds were very comfortable, bedding and towels spotless, water very hot, huge TV in room and more storage space than in many hotels we have gone to for a two week holiday. Breakfast was continental style and self service. There was a good choice and the coffee machine produced excellent coffee and we enjoyed chatting to two other guests. A cooked full English could be had for an extra charge if booked in advance.They take payment in full when you check in as there are no staff on duty first thing. This was no problem as we simply left the keys on the reception desk. All in all it provided everything we needed for a one night stay and being just a three minute walk from the pier, I would recommend it to anyone after a long tiring day on the Waverley excursions.

I came across this great little B&B as all hotels were fully booked. I won't bother with hotels again in this area - Cavell House is the place to go. Quiet, convenient, friendly, clean.

Each member of staff we met at Cavell House B&B were really friendly and helpful. The price of the room was good and the location ideal with plenty of parking. Cutlery and crockery were clean as was the bedding - the beds were very comfortable. The room temperature was ideal.The décor does need updating and the furniture is basic, but clean with plenty of storage. The bathroom was very clean, but there are few stains on the grout. No window in our basement room, it was in the bathroom which gave light through an obscured glass door, which was fine but could do with a curtain for privacy and to shut out the early morning light from the skylight. The window however does have an adequate curtain. We found the B&B very acceptable and would stay again.

Spotlessly clean and very private rooms. Welcoming hosts and good breakfast. Help yourself and I liked all the options. Just what I needed after minding 3 grandchildren for three days.

Got a very friendly answer on the phone when I rang to enquire; host, Dave, was very accommodating regarding my diet and went the extra milk supplying wheat/gluten-free, and dairy free bread, cereal and soya milk for breakfast, which was much appreciated.The basement room was nice and cool in the extreme heatwave at the time, and the bed comfortable, so slept reasonably well the first night and like a log the second night of my 2 night stay.With diet and sleep intact, I was able to function pretty well, despite having ME, and make the most of my break. I have no tv at home, so the widescreen tv was great.

A very warm welcome as I arrived at Cavell, David was an excellent host and made me feel very comfortable. I'd highly recommend a walk along the Grade 1 listed pier and fish and chips at Tiffyns, also locate on the pier. I will be back.

Lovely, big old Victorian house with real character. Literally 2 minutes from the beach and even though there is a busy road outside, it wasn't noisy. Rooms bright and airy and comfortable. Friendly proprietor with plenty of info and tips, who went out of his way to brew me a fresh pot of decaf filter coffee.

I find staying at Cavell House very convenient as it is close to the Winash Care Home where my sister is residing. It is also close to the sea front and has a good bus service into Bristol. I have stayed there six times and my room is always clean, well equiped and I enjoy the self service breakfast

enjoyed my overnight stay very nice couple running the b and b bathroom and the bedroom i stayed in was a little tired and wanted updating but to be fair on the couple they could be updating certain areas at a time and perhaps this was next on their list saying in that location perfect for the pier beach pubs etc the breakfast they cooked was very nice and i would stay there again very well priced thanks Mark

This is basic but the welcome was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Good internet. Bathroom clean and shower was powerful and hot.Breakfast pretty good and a good selection.Generally a bit old fashioned. Great for a working base, good value for money.

Comfortable stay at cavellhouse , (1 night) ,staff very pleasant , only one criticism :decor needs updating , but that is being critical...we stayed in Room 1 , kingsize bed, they even put the radiator on for us to warm the room up, ceiling must be 12 foot high , nice ornate coving, very good location, nice & quiet .

The room was perfectly fine but without hairdryer. The flashing sensor light went all night on and off.

Nice big room. Small steps into house and into shower so my husband was unable to use this. Owner did ring to explain details and check our needs so was fine for just one night. Comfortable bed with spotless sheets and good breakfast if you order and pay extra for full English. Communal tables in breakfast room. Good wifi in bedroom.

I booked the room fo9r my sister and brother in law and they both said they thought the room was lovely.The only thing they said is that the garden was lovely but5 there are areas of the garden where items are being stored and that was a shame and too many ornaments that are a bit datedin the dining room and the hallways but other than that they thought you were great

The house is very big and Victorian. The owner is trying to update it sensitively. The bedroom was extremely clean.

I am a student and stay here during my revision courses. I honestly look forward to coming here to stay as the place is so friendly and homely. The breakfast is simple but really lovely and there is a huge choice. Just a short walk and you're on the beach. The staff are really chatty and want to help you. Excellent value for money and I look forward to going back in a few weeks!

Excellent place to stay. Near the sea front, situated in a lovely affluent area. The building is well maintained and of the period with well appointed furnishings and a lovely rear garden. There is provision for parking at the premises. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room that I and the girlfriend stayed in was simply a delight. I can definitely recommend this venue to others. I will stay at Cavell House again when the opportunity arises. Very pleased.

We have stayed many times and have always been very satisfied with the hospitality and friendship given by the owmers and are always made very welcome. Lots of interesting things in the hotel and surrounding area.

Cavell House is in the process of renovation, and if all rooms are upgraded to the standard of ours will be highly recommended in the future. Very pleased with the comfort for the price. Couple of minor faults which I'm sure were oversights - only 1 set of towels between 2 guests, and could probably do with a small hairdryer in the room.

It was so nice making a booking, someone friendly on the phone and very helpful.Completely difference from other hotels where everything is automated or cost a lot to phone. I had to book on behalf of someone else and at short notice.Everything was made ready to him.Excellent service.

We recently undertook a project in Clevedon and needed somewhere for our staff to stay. The Cavell House hotel has been brilliant. They have been incredibly accommodating for us. David and his staff were lovely and helpful to us. Our staff have had no complaints about the rooms they have stayed in. Very happy with the service and would most certainly stay here again and would recommend to others.

I arrived after a very difficult journey and the receptionist could not have been more helpful. Continental breakfst would probably have neen OK but I did not have time for it - the cooked beakfast would surely have been even better! Lovely room.

Clevedon is a lovely holiday place and also so close to Bristol. In Cavell House we had a big family room which was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was quite new and very clean and the landlord very friendly and helpful. We can definitely recommend the place.

My four night stay was very pleasant and relaxed and I will definitely return.This guest house fits in well with the general quiet atmosphere of Clevedon. The central location and good car parking are particularly attractive.

It was a wonderful place to stay! Great value for money, friendly and good facilities. Basic but has all you need. Fantastic position, just near the beach and friendly staff.
